About Our Practice 

Hitchcock Animal Hospital is a locally owned and operated full service veterinary hospital.  Dr. Jennifer Ray and her husband Greg Baughman, both Aiken natives, began the journey to business ownership and started the concept for Hitchcock Animal Hospital several years ago.  With Jennifer having 14 years of experience as a veterinarian and Greg having over 20 years combined experience in supervision and management with UPS and the United States Marine Corps they decided it was time to use their skills in veterinary medicine and business management to start their own practice.  The dream finally came true when they were able to purchase the property, located at 101 Summerwood Way, in the summer of 2019 and began construction to transform the existing building into a new, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital.   With focus on the patient and client experience they designed a full service hospital to provide excellent quality medicine and surgery in an environment that is comforting for pets and their owners.  The new facility includes a comfortable, spacious lobby and inviting reception area, five exam rooms, large open treatment area, full surgery suite, separate dental suite, multiple animal housing areas with oversized kennels, and a dedicated isolation room.  The hospital utilizes the latest technology available in diagnostic equipment and treatment modalities for small animal patient care.  In addition, the doctors and staff at Hitchcock Animal Hospital all believe that every pet deserves the best care; the team consists of highly skilled, well trained, compassionate animal loving individuals who pride themselves in caring for patient pets, as they would care for their own pets.  We are very excited to open our doors to provide care for your pets in June, 2020.  Please come join us where we treat your pets like ours!
